The VII Mil Cup Helicopter Flying Skill Championship hosted by the Helicopter Industry Association of Russia and Russian Helicopter Systems, ZAO will be held on the Crocus Exhibition Centre grounds (65-66 km of the Moscow Ring Road), Moscow, on 23d May 2009. To know the rules click here.

From 1969, after the air groups of observation of artillery in Indochina, the grouping of light aviation of the 1st armed force has been born. Create August 1st, 1977, the 1st RHC forms the hard core of the aéromobile 4eme division recently created within the Rapid deployment force.

Endowed with helicopters ALOUETTE II, III, the regiment is quickly present on all the theatres of operations. In 1990, during the operation rages of the desert, the regiment within the Division Brocket, really confirms the concept of fight aéromobile. During these fights the 1st regiment of armed helicopter wins its 7eme quotation at the order of the army.

Henceforth the 1st RHC is present everywhere where the duty makes sign : Libage in Turkey, ONUSOM II in Somalia, ex-Yugoslavia with the BATALAT within the FORPRONU, then within the IFOR and within the SFOR.

Today the 1st RHC, endowed with GAZELLE, PUMA and COUGAR, count approximately 1150 persons, among whom 21 % of feminine servicemen. He assures(insures) missions of command, operation, fire and piece of information, in particular thanks to the capacity "Horizon" that he is the only one to hold(detain) in France, and logistic missions. Present in Gabon and in Kosovo, it equips at present the ALAT battalion of the operation Unicorn in Ivory Coast.
The 1st regiment of armed helicopter is decorated with the Croix de guerre of the TOE and the holder of 7 quotations, among whom 5 in the order of the army.

"Primus Primorum" converses : (the first one of the first ones) the 1st RHC honors its slogan, it is the regiment the most decorated with the ALAT.
